Saudi Arabia: extended validity of e-certificates
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, The Saudi Standards Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has announced some important measures.
These new measures include:
- All Product Certificates (PCOs) registered on the SABER platform, which expire in March, April or May 2020, will be automatically extended for a period of 3 months from the expiry date.
- All test reports issued from accredited laboratories from 3 previous years will be accepted.
Therefore, importers and exporters will be able to access their Shipment Certificates for their renewed Product Certificates automatically via the SABER platform.
These SASO initiatives are aimed to guarantee the continuity of importers, traders and exporters working conditions.
