NofaLab increases dioxin analysis capacity

NofaLab’s new laboratory can offer a higher capacity, and a faster and more efficient service for its clients, for dioxin analysis.

Dioxins and dioxin-like compounds are a group of chemical compounds that are persistent environmental pollutants (POPs), with some of them in particular being highly toxic.

As a result of being very stable, dioxins tend to accumulate in the food chain and can pose health risks to consumers, especially for those compounds with a high Toxic Equivalency Factor (TEF).

Testing for dioxin is important to ensure that products meet international standards for tolerable daily intake (TDI). Most dioxin intake in food can be found in animal products, such as meat, fish and dairy.

In 2021, Nofagroup is better positioned than ever to meet the growing market demand for the analysis of dioxin and dioxin-like compounds. We analyse dioxin according to NEN-EN 16215, EU regulation 2017/771, and EU regulation 2017/644.

We have been investing consistently in highly-advanced and modern equipment in our new NofaLab laboratory in Rotterdam, that will allow us to offer a more efficient and cost-effective service for our clients. Our new lab capabilities allow us to produce much faster results, while also tripling our overall analytical capacity.

We are ready to support you. For more information about dioxin analysis, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
