Cotecna Vietnam CSR Activity 2024

Cotecna Vietnam donated funds to transport 234 cubic meters of clean water to support people affected by drought and saltwater intrusion.

Due to the impacts of climate change and the El NiƱo phenomenon, many coastal areas of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam are facing prolonged heat, drought, and saltwater intrusion from the sea, reaching deep into inland regions. This has caused a severe shortage of clean water for daily use and a lack of water for irrigation, leading to the loss of hundreds of thousands of hectares of rice, significantly affecting the livelihoods and economy of the local population.

In response to this urgent situation, Cotecna Vietnam aims to share in the community's struggles and fulfill its social responsibility. Cotecna Vietnam has contributed funds to transport clean water to areas affected by drought and saltwater intrusion in Tien Giang and Long An provinces in the Mekong Delta. Representatives of the Board of Directors and employees of Cotecna Vietnam participated in distributing clean water to those in need due to these natural disasters.
