Cotecna donates medical equipment in Burkina Faso

On Saturday 27th June, Cotecna donated new essential medical equipment to the Association Lumen Gentium’s new medical facility in Komtoega, Burkina Faso.

As part of our ongoing presence in Burkina Faso and our commitment to helping support the local community, Cotecna was delighted to have donated essential medical equipment to the new Ephata medical centre in Komtoega, Burkina Faso.

On 27th June, an inauguration event was held to mark the official opening of the centre and was attended by Dr. Seydou Zagré, Chief of Staff to the Presdient, Dr. Romuald Ouédraogo, Director of the Ephata Medical Centre, and Désiré Kam, Cotecna Country Manager in Burkina Faso.

As part of Cotecna’s donation, medical equipment including examination tables, stethoscopes, otoscopes, hospital beds, delivery tables and small surgery boxes was provided.

Built by the Lumen Gentium association, the new centre aims to help facilitate access to healthcare for the local population. Health care services were almost non-existent until now in the region, making this project not only relevant but also extremely necessary for community. Cotecna is proud to be able to participate in such an initiative and to help the centre get up-and-running quickly.
