Cotecna Awarded by World Customs Organization
On International Customs Day, Cotecna was honored by the World Customs Organization with a Certificate of Merit for rendering exceptional service to the international Customs community.
The Senegalese Customs Department celebrated the International Customs Day in its Dakar headquarters on January, 26, 2016.
On this occasion, Cotecna was recognized and honored by the World Customs Organization (WCO ) who awarded a Certificate of Merit for rendering exceptional service to the international Customs community, signed by Mr. Kunio Mikuriya, Secretary General of the WCO. Mr. Valdiodio Cissé, General Manager of Cotecna Senegal, received the award from Mr. Mangara Birima, Senegal’s Minister for the Budget.
This honor rightly illustrates the exceptional connection between the Senegalese Customs and Cotecna, resulting in a privileged and productive partnership developed with the Customs administration for over 15 years.
This cooperation is part of a national process of modernization, transparency and trade facilitation, and is a result of the daily commitment of every employee of Cotecna Senegal.
