Understanding the Saudi Quality Mark (SQM)
The SQM program is designed to enhance product quality across various sectors within Saudi Arabia. The program verifies that regulated products adhere to required Saudi and international standards.
SQM Certification Process:
- Online application to be made on the SASO portal
- Document review, including quality documents – test reports, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.
- Factory audits
- Corrective actions recommended where applicable
- Final review and approval, by SASO, for license to use Saudi Quality Mark
- Surveillance audits
