What is China HACCP?
The China Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certification helps ensures the safety of food during the production, processing, manufacturing, preparation, and consumption processes. The China HACCP method involves a scientific and systematic approach in terms of hazard identification, evaluation and control, helping organizations to identify the possible problem links in their food production process and take appropriate control measures to prevent the occurrence of hazards. By monitoring and controlling each step of the processing process, the probability of occurrence of food safety issues can be reduced.
Since November 2nd, 2015, the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has officially recognized China’s Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (CHINA-HACCP) certification system as the first Technical Equivalent Certified Scheme Owner, which means that food companies that have obtained China HACCP certification will be exempt from purchasers when they enter the supply chain of GFSI members, therefore reducing trade costs and enhancing brand reputation in the international market.
