Cotecna Hosts Breakfast Seminar in Zimbabwe to Discuss CBCA Programme Updates

On Friday 15th March 2024, Cotecna hosted a breakfast seminar in Harare, Zimbabwe, aimed at engaging key stakeholders and providing updates on the Consignment Based Conformity Assessment (CBCA) programme.

The event took place at the Rainbow Towers Hotel and served as a platform for representatives from various sectors to mingle and exchange insights while discussing the latest developments of the Zimbabwe CBCA Programme.

Notable attendees included officials from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA), as well as representatives from diverse industry associations.

During the event, Cotecna representatives shared insights on the latest advancements and enhancements within the CBCA Programme, emphasizing its role of creating safety within Zimbabwe's import landscape. The presentation also addressed any queries and concerns raised by stakeholders, further enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation.

The seminar concluded with some networking among participants. Cotecna reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Zimbabwe's trade ecosystem through innovative solutions and proactive engagement with stakeholders.

As a reminder, Cotecna has been authorized by the Zimbabwe Ministry of Industry and Commerce since 2021, to issue a Certificate of Conformity for exports of regulated products to Zimbabwe. It is to be noted that Cotecna is the service provider appointed for all four programmes.
