Cotecna USA’s Agriculture and Food testing laboratory achieves ISO 17025:2017 accreditation

In February 2019, Cotecna USA's cutting-edge Agriculture and Food testing laboratory in New Orleans achieved ISO 17025:2017 accreditation, enabling it to better respond to the needs of the market with a wide range of chemical testing and microbiological analyses.

Cotecna has been established in the US since 1992 and has opened a number of offices and laboratories over the years. In 2017, it launched a cutting-edge Agriculture and Food testing laboratory in New Orleans to respond to the growing demand from clients. We are pleased to announce that this laboratory became ISO 17025:2017 accredited in February 2019, a true testament to the quality of services we provide.

The ISO 17025:2017 accreditation is the international standard that verifies the technical competence, facilities, management systems and personnel qualifications of a testing laboratory.   By complying with this standard, the results of agriculture and food tests carried out, both nationally and around the world, are more widely accepted and trusted, thereby facilitating trade throughout the Supply Chain.

The accreditation scope covers a total of 23 test methods for chemical testing of animal feed, oilseeds, meal, grains, and microbiological analyses for food and environmental samples.
