Kaixin Certification accredited as GWO certification body for wind-turbine training providers

Kaixin Certification, part of the Cotecna Group, has been accredited as a certification body by Global Wind Organisation (GWO). The accreditation enables Kaixin Certification to audit and certify wind turbine training providers to GWO’s suite of safety standards, including safety, technical, rescue, first aid and blade repair training standards.

Wind power is an increasingly important source of renewable energy, which contributes greatly to building a carbon-free energy future. China is the world’s largest producer of wind energy, with continued rapid growth in the new wind facilities. According to China’s National Energy Administration, by the end of 2020, China had 281.5 GW of wind generation capacity, with an estimated 550,000 people currently employed in the domestic wind power industry and related fields.

As demand for wind power increases, it is expected that the need for global wind turbine construction and maintenance talents grows as well. Training and education provided by GWO certified training providers against GWO’s occupational health and safety standards are especially important to safeguard the health and safety of the workforce and the wind industry’s sustainability.

As an accredited certification body, Kaixin Certification will deliver audit and certification services strictly in compliance with GWO’s standards to wind-turbine training providers to help ensure the safety and health of wind turbine technicians and to support the growth of renewable energy.
