You should be familiar with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management, NABL, ISO 17020, QHSE compliance process etc. Expected to train the group of staff. Should have management skills and be a team player. Potential to work under pressure, remain cool and calm and support and lead the staff at difficult times. Possess good interpersonal and presentation skills, and be able to build relationships with external partners. The ability to be able to problem solve, interpret complex issues and motivate others to work to the best of their ability is essential.

Main Accountabilities:

  • To provide direction and guidance to employees on QHSE issues within the workplace.
  • To maintain and regularly review all related documentation in line with legal requirements.
  • Control the day-to-day operations including auditing, meetings, training and updating documents and records for all aspects of the system.
  • To issue updates and ensure documentation is easily available to all personnel, as well as provide training as and when required.
  • Quality and safety awareness to employees is a vital part of the role of the QHSE.
  • Expected to lead by example and to promote best practice at all times with regards to safety at work in all areas.
  • As the QHSE Superintendent you will be required to devise the company’s QHSE plan and ensure its implementation.
  • Required to attend/organize regional meetings to exchange ideas and best practice with fellow staff.

You preferably have:

  • Graduate in the Sciences.
  • QMS experience for 6 months or more in an inspection company. HSE exposure would be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Fluent in English. Other language(s) spoken in the country would be a plus.
