The mission of the QA Engineer is to hold responsibility to create accurate test plans, and execute against these, ensuring that all issues and risks are raised and managed to completion. She/he will have an eye for detail and be quality focused resulting in thorough and well-organized test phases across all projects they work on.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrate a level of understanding of the system under test and gain an understanding of how customers use the products under test
  • Pair with developers to deliver high quality software
  • Define test approach / strategy for Cotecna products and analytics requirements
  • Execute different testing approaches within each defined stage of development and keep up to date with advances in the discipline. I.e. rapid, risk based, exploratory, regression, security, usability etc
  • Have an awareness of the test automation framework and, as a result, create execute and maintain efficient and effective test automation scripts
  • Take accountability for all test related activities within a test phase, accurately record and communicate risks and issues found during test phases and produce effective test metrics.
  • Share knowledge and expertise across the wider testing team and where required, coach others to avoid key person dependency

You preferably have:

  • Minimum 2 years holding a similar position
  • Experienced in working with partnership with back-end and front-end developers to rapidly deliver working and testable solutions.
  • Strong focus on quality of full software cycle
  • Proactive person with skills for teamwork
  • Adaptation capacity and autonomy
  • English knowledge both in writing and speaking – (level B2 European standards)
  • Dynamic, proactive, eager to learn, discover new technologies and methodologies and proactively keeps up to date, autonomous
  • Adaptable to fast change of environment, objectives or business priorities.
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery is nice to have
