Brazzaville (Rep. of Congo) – February 3rd to 6th, 2015
The Direction Générale des Douanes et des Droits Indirects (DGDDI or Directorate General of Customs and Excise) and Cotecna Inspection Congo ran a workshop involving around 30 customs officers. This training session completed previous ones which took place at the end of the year 2014 in the coastal city of Pointe Noire covering another 80 customs officers.
The objectives of the training were to enhance the competencies of the customs officers in the utilisation of the CRMS risk management system and the COTES value analysis system both developed and implemented by Cotecna. These software systems equip the customs officers with decision making tools which help them increase the efficiency and focus of scanner inspections and value analysis.
Both Emmanuel Ndinga, Director of Customs Investigations, and Christophe Guyant, General Manager Cotecna Congo, took part to the workshop which was mainly given by Said Mondoha , Cotecna's Operations Manager, and its CRMS assistant Fleury Moussana . The topics covered in this workshop fully support the DGDDI commitment towards the modernization of the Congo Customs Administration with Cotecna as a dedicated partner since 2006.
