Sébastien joined Cotecna in 2016 to drive the rapid expansion of the Group’s geographical network and was appointed CEO in 2017. Prior to joining Cotecna, he spent close to 10 years at Bureau Veritas where he held a number of leadership positions in Strategy, Business Development and Operations, across different geographies. He started off his career as an analyst for Goldman Sachs and later joined Alcan where he was in charge of a number of M&A projects. Sébastien graduated from HEC Paris.

Romain joined Cotecna in 2018 to manage the Group’s operations and work closely with the CEO on deploying the strategy. Prior to joining Cotecna, he spent close to 20 years at Bureau Veritas where he held a number of senior leadership roles. In his most recent positions, Romain was leading the group’s strategy and development activities for Europe and previously led the operations for North Asia. He started off his career as a consultant at PwC. Romain graduated from ESC Amiens, and attended an Executive Education Programme at INSEAD.

Edouard was most recently CEO Western Europe at Bolloré Logistics (Paris) where he had direct responsibility over 17 European countries, generating a turnover of 1Bn Euros. Edouard has spent 24 years within Bolloré Group, most of it in Africa, starting from 1997 as Financial Controller for West Africa up to 2016, as CEO Africa of Bolloré Logistics. During this period of time, Edouard has lived in Douala, Dakar and Nairobi. Edouard is a French citizen and holds a MSC Degree in Audit & Finance from Kedge Business School (1996).

Mathieu joined Cotecna in 2018 as Chief Human Resources Officer. He previously spent over 12 years at Bureau Veritas where he held various leadership HR roles across Europe and Asia. Most recently, Mathieu was leading the group’s European HR function. With 25 years of experience in HR, he has worked across several industries for companies such as Nestlé, Elior and Saint-Gobain. Mathieu graduated from ESSEC Business School.

Guido joined Cotecna in 2017 as Chief Development Officer. He previously spent over 15 years at Bureau Veritas, where he held a number of leadership positions across multiple continents. Prior to joining Bureau Veritas he worked as Marketing & Sales Director for a Spanish subsidiary of SFIR, a European leader in the sugar sector. Guido graduated from Thunderbird and attended an Executive Education Programme at INSEAD.

Clara joined Cotecna as Chief Legal Officer in 2022. Over her career as a legal advisor, Clara has worked on numerous projects in the USA, Europe, and Africa for well-known companies such as Perenco, Andritz, Addax Petroleum, and MSC. Clara has extensive experience in litigation and arbitration, having worked in corporate environments and law firms, including Shearman & Sterling. She has been admitted to the Paris Bar and holds a Master's Degree in French and German Law, as well as a Postgraduate Degree in Business Law.

Frank joined Cotecna’s Board of Directors in 2015 and became Chairman of the Board and majority shareholder in 2018. He started his career in the building and industrial sector in 1979, and joined Bureau Veritas 1994 where he was CEO from 1996 to 2012 and Chairman of the Board until 2013. In his time at Bureau Veritas, he spearheaded the successful transformation of the company – from EUR 350 million revenue to EUR 4 billion - and took it public in 2007. Frank graduated from HEC Paris.

Robert is the youngest son of Cotecna’s founder, Elie-Georges Massey. He took on the role of CEO of the Group in 1992 before becoming Chairman of the Board in 2017. Following a change in the shareholding structure in 2018, he remains a member of the Board as Director. Robert graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
