The company’s founder, Mr. Elie Georges Massey, is a pioneer in the industry, originally developing inspection solutions for Middle Eastern countries based on need, where other companies had failed in tailoring services to meet specific requirements.

The Massey family has remained at the helm of the company, ensuring that all Cotecna business is conducted with an emphasis on personal, dedicated service.

Today, the Cotecna Group has a combined workforce of approximately 4,000 employees and agents in close to 100 offices. We offer the same exacting standards in executing services to both governmental and commercial organizations.

In the 1970s, our initial commercial focus was the inspection of internationally traded goods on behalf of private companies and national governments. In the 1980s, Cotecna moved into providing a broader range of government mandated services, including Pre-shipment Inspection, which has made a major contribution in helping to curb foreign exchange control evasion, while increasing nation states’ customs revenue.
